August 26–27 witnessed the grand convening of the 2026 Academic Annual Conference of the Cattle Husbandry Branch, Chinese Association of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine in Yinchuan, Ningxia. The event brought together numerous experts, scholars and industry elites from agricultural research institutes, universities and enterprises across the country. Gendone made an appearance at this grand event and invited Professor Zhou Zhenming, Director of the Beef Cattle Research Center at China Agricultural University, to authoritatively present the latest research findings regarding the effects of guanidinoacetic acid (GAA) on beef cattle growth performance.
During the academic session, Professor Zhou Zhenming systematically shared the research report Study on the Effects of Coated Guanidinoacetic Acid on Beef Cattle Production Performance, which was commissioned by Gendone and completed by his research team. The trial adopted coated guanidinoacetic acid (Energist®), independently developed and manufactured by Gendone, as the test substance. Rigorous scientific trials were conducted to systematically verify the efficacy and tolerance of dietary supplemented coated GAA for improving beef cattle production performance.
Trial data showed that with the addition of 0.8 g/kg Energist® to the diet throughout the whole feeding period, the average daily gain reached 0.99 kg, representing a 22.22% increase compared with the control group, while feed conversion efficiency rose by 33.33%. The study also confirmed that Energist® can significantly optimize rumen fermentation parameters, increase ribeye area, reduce backfat thickness, and markedly enhance the body’s antioxidant capacity. This set of solid, detailed empirical data provides robust theoretical support and data foundation for the scientific application of GAA in the beef cattle industry.
On January 6, 2026, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs officially issued Announcement No. 982, approving Gendone’s application for the expanded use of coated guanidinoacetic acid for fattening cattle. This important milestone marks that the application value of GAA in the beef cattle sector has obtained authoritative recognition at the national level.
From fundamental research to industrial application, Gendone has devoted itself to the field of functional amino acids for nineteen years. Driven by technological innovation, Gendone will continue to empower the beef cattle industry to cut costs and boost efficiency through solid scientific achievements, supporting China’s animal husbandry industry to embark on a new journey of high-quality development at the start of the 15th Five-Year Plan period.

On June 3rd, Professor Wang Junjun, Dean of the College of Animal Science and Technology at China Agricultural University.

From April 18 to 20, 2025, the 2025 China Feed Industry Exhibition will be grandly held in Qingdao, Shandong. As a leader in the development and application of functional amino acids, Gendonewill make a grand appearance with a focus on systematic innovation and precise presentation, bringing scientific cost-reduction and efficiency-enhancement solutions as well as cutting-edge research results, injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of the global feed industry.
